Principal's Message

India has a vast and growing pharmaceutical industry. Increasing number of hospitals, nursing homes and pharmaceuticals companies all over the country is a clear indication of the growing scope in pharmacy profession. Pharmacy offers reasonably good career opportunities both by way of jobs as well as in terms of starting own business. In the coming decades, pharmacists are expected to become more integral within the health care system.

The basic goals of the pharmacy professionals is to discover, develop, manufacture, market and dispense drugs. Last three decades, pharmacists are increasingly expected to be compensated for their patient care skills. In particular, Medication Therapy Management (MTM) includes the clinical services that pharmacists can provide for their patients.Such services include the thorough analysis of all medication (prescription, non-prescription, and herbals) currently being taken by an individual. The result is a reconciliation of medication and patient education resulting in increased patient health outcomes and decreased costs to the health care system.

Since its inception, Karpagam College of Pharmacy (KCP) has been a dynamic and ever growing institution and providing enabling environment for quality teaching and learning through state of art facilities and renowned competent faculty members. KCP strategic imperatives for the campus are to develop tomorrow's leaders in the Pharmacy profession, be the top Institution for innovation and to positively impact humanity.

I welcome all entrants and assure them very fulfilling experience of Karpagam College of Pharmacy that you can join with confidence. I would also like to reaffirm our commitments to our value based integrated approach in Pharmacy education.
