Karpagam College of Pharmacy has a hostel for boys and girls each with all modern facilities and other recreational activities. The hostellers are provided with good residential facilities with neat environment. Hostels have their own mess to provide good and hygienic foods to the students. Hostel accommodation will be provided on a “first come, first served” basis. Resident wardens take care of the students for 24 hours.
Karpagam institution hostels are under the management of the Hostel Management Committee.
Medical, engineering and paramedical colleges have separate hostels.
Each hostel has a warden and caretakers/block supervisors, other attendants and maintenance staff.
It is not mandatory for all students to stay in campus hostels.
However, they could make their own residential arrangements and need to submit a consent letter from their parents duly recommended by the management and students affairs.
Rooms and facilities
Karpagam institution hostel rooms are comfortably furnished. Girls and boys have separate block and each block has a fixed capacity.
There is a range of accommodation options to choose, for the student’s convenience. In this kind of accommodation, they have access to the TV room and other leisure/sports activities within the hostel premises.
Security
The safety of students, faculty, and visitors is important to us. Karpagam institutions are a semi-urban campus and basic security measures are observed to personal safety.
Hostel Rules And Regulations
Ragging
Ragging in any form is banned inside and outside the campus. Strict action is taken against persons flouting this rule; no leniency is shown suspension and/or withdrawal from the hostel/college is the first action against the offender.
General Hostel Rules
Students must occupy rooms specially allotted to them.
Change of accommodation from one hostel to another during a term is generally not permitted.
Allotment made to a student is subject to cancellation if he/she fails to occupy the room within the prescribed time.
The chief warden reserves the right to break open rooms in case of any violation of hostel rules, suspected unlawful activities or on a perceived security risk.
